Kaffa Espresso Bar

So, my partner-in-crime and I randomly decided to escape back in Penang during the one-day Haji public holiday. No doubt, it was way too bored staying in the campus and growing mushroom :X We eventually ended up hopping into a new cafe in Penang - Kaffa Espresso Bar

Menu on the chalkboard seems to be very common in cafes these days.

It was a rainy day to enjoy a nice cuppa coffee!

This cafe also has their very own painted wall art

I'm in love with the ambiance here. It's quite a relaxing and comfortable place to chill out at.

Salted Caramel Macchiato RM12.50
Rating: 8/10
So, we tried the highly recommended salted caramel macchiato. Tasted like salty coffee.

Here comes our brunchie

Turkey Ham Sandwhich RM16.90
Rating: 6/10
We ordered Big Bite Breakfast originally. But, they gave us the wrong order :/ Blur us, only realized that after stuffing everything in our tummy. Well, the turkey ham sandwich was rather a disappointing one. I can make this sandwhich myself lahh :p If you get what I meant

Egg and Toast RM9.90
Rating: 9/10
The scramble eggs were rather nice tho!

Smoked Salmon Sandwich RM16.90
Rating: 8.5/10
I tapao-ed this back home and it still taste yummm after a long whole day. Not so bad afterall :)

Overall the food was okay but certainly not a place to be patronized frequent as the price was quite steep for students :/

Cappucino on the right RM10

Mireica

Review

MIREICA® nutri-peau® is a Sophisticated, Comprehensive and Natural Anti-Aging Skin Nutrition Formula. With recent scientific advances, Mireica truly is an effective skin supplement which is fast becoming mainstream skincare.
It contains active and complementary ingredients, which synergistically work to promote skin hydration and elasticity, structural integrity, and control accelerated aging caused by oxidative stress. It provides essential UV protection for all skin types with anti-inflammatory properties to reduce skin irritation and infections.
There are 30 sachets in a box, priced at RM178. Available in all leading pharmacy. One sachet daily, best taken in the morning with empty stomach or during the night before sleep.

Dissolve the powder in a glass of cold water/ normal water. Stir to make it even and wait for a few seconds until the effervescence disappeared. And now you may drink. For the taste, it's just like drinking soft drink of coke :D

After consuming for a month #nofilter #nomakeup except eyebrows

And yeah, that's my skin condition in real life. You all are so lucky to have a pretty good skin. So be appreciate okayyy! IDK is it due to hormonal or what, my acne just can't stop popping out on my chin tsk -.- and it actually bothers me a lot! So I thought of trying Mireica as it's a skin supplements and would do no harm after all. In fact, I've had tried tons of skincare products and sadly none of them has worked out on my scars/acne. After consuming for a month, I am pretty impressed with the results. Scars have significantly reduced, skin has becoming more moisturized and even toned but my chin acne still keep popping out as usual lah. Perhaps I'm still in my 青春期 (puberty period)? Lolol! I'm waiting for better result though. Will get back to you all soon :)

Feel free to check 'em out here!

Talent Corp SFCF 2013

I was glad to be invited by Nuffnang with fellow Penang bloggers to attend Sector Focused Career Fairs (SFCF) which was held at Universiti Sains Malaysia (USM) last Sunday. Well, it was a two-day event organized by Talent Corporation Malaysia Berhad (TalentCorp) hosted by USM, together, to increase career awareness among the public on the 5th & 6th of October.

In fact, I was quite looking forward to check out the fair as I'm an undergraduate too :D

The exhibition was held at Dewan Utama Pelajar from 10am-6pm and there was a registration booth where we could get all those information pack and notebook.

We were guided by a friendly guy staff, who is one of the students of USM. He then did a quick briefing. We got to know that SFCF actually focuses more on Science, Healthcare and Social Sciences Sectors. Besides, the career fair provides a platform that directly connects companies to potential graduates through walk-in interviews.

32 companies participated in this event. The companies also have the opportunities to educate the public about industry developments, sectorial branding and increase understanding of niche areas for science, healthcare and social science sectors. The main objective of theirs non other than providing easy access to career paths for the fresh graduates in the respective fields .

We roamed around and visited some booths.

The most interesting and crowded booth was this ICQ Quiz. Why? Because the top scorer with the fastest answering speed and got the most corrected answers stands a chance to win an iPad away! The rule was to answer TEN questions and each question has to be answered correctly not more than 10 seconds.

Trying my luck here! hehe.. And guess how much did I score? DENG! 6 out of 10. Haha! Not bad la ok. The questions were quite hard though:/

Serious faces of Camy and Constance concentrating on their quizzes

Moving on, we left to the career talk held upstairs.

And, we discovered the Couch Corner Slot! It was designed for the visitors, especially the students, to interact with the companies in a relaxed atmosphere. They could sit together and chat with the key persons from the industry casually.

No doubt, sitting and chatting at the bean bag is much more comfortable :D

From the left: Shelyn, Christer, Kharnyee, Constance, Me, Fione, and Camy.
Before the talk started, a group picture with the other bloggers, missing Henry (the photographer) xD

Career talk which gave insightful information on a clearer career path and options for the students. For further information on TalentCorp and SFCF, please visit www.talentcorp.com.my or their facebook page

A group pic of us before we left! :)
Once again, thank you Nuffnang and TalentCorp for giving me this chance to attend such a beneficial event! It was a great get-together with the Penang bloggers too.
